Marketplace & Privacy Addendum – ReFly Market

This page explains how ReFly handles personal and transaction information for buyers and sellers on our marketplace, as well as how we manage shipping through Shipturtle. This Addendum supplements Shopify’s default Privacy Policy and is specific to our peer-to-peer fly fishing marketplace.

1. Marketplace Data Handling

For Sellers:

  • When you list items, we collect your name, email, shipping address, and payment information to process sales and payouts.

  • Order details and buyer shipping information are shared only as needed to fulfill purchases.

  • Sellers are responsible for complying with applicable tax and legal obligations.

For Buyers:

  • Buyers’ names and shipping addresses are provided to sellers solely for order fulfillment.

  • Payment information is processed securely through Shopify’s payment providers.

General:

  • ReFly does not sell your personal information to third parties.

  • Your account activity, purchase history, and shipping information are stored securely to provide services, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.

2. Shipturtle Shipping Integration

  • All shipping on ReFly is handled through Shipturtle, our integrated shipping tool.

  • Shipping labels and instructions are automatically generated for sellers once a purchase is made.

  • Sellers are responsible for packaging and shipping items properly using the ReFly/Shipturtle labels.

  • Tracking information is provided to buyers when available.

  • ReFly is not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages, or damage during shipping.

3. Privacy & Data Visibility

  • Buyers only see the information necessary to complete a purchase (name, shipping address).

  • Sellers only see the information needed to fulfill orders.

  • Other personal information is kept private and secure.

4. Communication

  • Buyers and sellers may communicate through the ReFly messaging system for questions about listings, orders, or disputes.

  • ReFly may review messages or assist with communication to resolve issues but does not act as an arbitrator.

5. Security

  • ReFly uses reasonable technical, administrative, and physical measures to protect your personal data.

  • While we strive to secure your information, no system is completely risk-free.

6. Updates to this Addendum

ReFly may update this Addendum periodically to reflect changes in marketplace operations, shipping processes, or data handling practices.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Addendum.
